Remedial massage

Remedial massage is a complementary rehabilitation therapy that is used to treat several health problems by locating and helping repair areas of the body that are in trauma. Remedial massage helps rehabilitates by restoring bodies functions by treating painful muscles, tendons, ligaments. This done using a range of specialized techniques including stretching of tight muscles, stimulating inactive muscles and enhancing the condition of soft tissue. It can also involve trigger point therapy and various pressures from strong and deep to slow and gentle to treat muscle that are damaged, knotted, tense or immobile. remedial massage therapists aim to correct the balance, length, tone, and tensions correcting bone position, relaxing tight muscles while releasing nerves trapped in muscles, and reducing spasms.

Muscular problems can radiate pain to other parts of the body remedial massage tries to trace pain back to the origin of the radiated pain allowing the therapist to treat both the symptoms and the cause.
